How Onboarding Works
Overview
When you sign up for LeadClaw, a 5-step onboarding wizard guides you through setting up your AI sales assistant. The wizard collects everything your agent needs to represent your business professionally.
The 5 Steps
Step 1: Business Profile
Enter your business name, type (e.g., "Plumbing," "Marketing Agency"), and location. If you have a website, the AI can scan it to auto-fill details like your services, description, and social links.
Step 2: Services & Offerings
Review and refine the services your business offers. Each offering can include a name, description, and optional price range. Your agent uses these to craft personalized outreach.
Step 3: AI Chat Profiling
Have a brief conversation with the AI to establish your preferred communication style and tone. The AI learns whether you prefer formal, friendly, casual, or professional language — and applies that voice to all outreach.
Step 4: Phone Verification
Verify your phone number via SMS code. This enables SMS notifications for hot lead alerts and daily reports. You can choose your preferred communication channels (email, SMS, chat).
Step 5: Review & Launch
Review your complete business profile, agent name, and settings. When you confirm, LeadClaw provisions a dedicated server for your AI agent. This usually takes 2-3 minutes.
What Happens After Onboarding
Once provisioning completes, your agent goes online and appears on your dashboard. You can immediately:
- Start a chat conversation with your agent
- Create your first campaign
- Customize settings
Tip: You can always update your business profile and agent settings from the Settings page after onboarding.
