Custom Email Domain

What Is a Custom Domain?
By default, your agent sends from a @leadclaw.io email address. With a custom domain (Ultra plan), your agent sends from your own domain — for example, outreach@yourbusiness.com.
Benefits
- Better deliverability — Emails from your own domain build your domain's reputation
- Professional branding — Recipients see your company domain, not a third-party service
- Trust — Prospects are more likely to open emails from a recognizable domain
- Consistency — Matches your website, business cards, and other marketing
Setup Process
- Go to Settings > Email > Custom Domain
- Enter your domain name (e.g., yourbusiness.com)
- LeadClaw provides DNS records you need to add:
- SPF record — Authorizes LeadClaw to send on your behalf
- DKIM record — Enables email signing for authenticity
- DMARC record — Sets your email authentication policy
- Add these records to your DNS provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.)
- Click Verify — LeadClaw checks your DNS records
- Once verified, your agent starts sending from your custom domain
DNS Propagation
After adding DNS records, verification can take up to 48 hours for DNS propagation. Most domains verify within 1-4 hours.
Important Notes
- Custom domain is available on the Ultra plan only
- Your @leadclaw.io address continues to work as a fallback
- Replies to your custom domain are still delivered to your agent automatically
- You can switch back to @leadclaw.io at any time from Settings
Tip: If you already use your domain for regular email (e.g., Gmail/Google Workspace), the DNS records won't conflict — they're additive.
