Email Verification
Why Verify?
Sending to invalid email addresses causes bounces, which damage your sender reputation. High bounce rates can lead to your emails being marked as spam.
How Verification Works
Before sending any outreach email, your agent verifies the recipient's address using ZeroBounce:
- Valid — The address exists and can receive mail
- Invalid — The address doesn't exist or is a known spam trap
- Risky — The address may be a catch-all or disposable email
Only valid addresses receive outreach. Invalid and risky addresses are excluded automatically.
Bounce Protection
Even with verification, occasional bounces happen. Your agent monitors bounce rates in real-time:
- Bounced addresses are immediately removed from the campaign
- If the bounce rate exceeds 2%, the campaign auto-pauses
- You'll see a notification in your activity feed
Impact on Deliverability
Email verification is one of the most important factors in maintaining high deliverability. By verifying every address, LeadClaw keeps your bounce rate well below the 2% industry threshold.
